pregnancy test says no, but...

I have read a lot of things on pregnancy and how to tell if you are or not but I still am stuck. I have taken a pregnancy test and it says that I am not pregnant, I know that they are not to accurate when it comes to some people so I don't know if I should go to the DR. to get one or not. Ever since my last period I have had sore breasts... usually I get that a week before my period and they have hurt this whole month so far. I get slight cramps... not really bad where they hurt but I can feel some discomfort. I haven't missed a period yet... I am not suppose to get it till the 30th of this month... I have never felt like this so long though. If anyone can help that would be awsome. I am 20 years old and my periods have been regular since I can remember... I get it every 27 to 28 days, with only having it for 5 to 6 days. It has never changed... even when I went on birth control in August... that didn't change it at all... I stopped taking my birth control about three months ago because my boyfriend and I want to have a kid with in the next couple of years and I hear that it is harder to have a baby when you have been on birth control for a long time. I don't know what to think or do right now... I don't know if it is from me not taking birth control anymore but why would I hurt like this three months after stopping? Please give feedback as soon as possible... I have quit smoking and drinking for the time. I don't want to keep doing all that and then find out that I am some odd number of weeks pregnant. Thank you for your time!!!

Your chest always gets sore about a week before your period when you stop taking birth control pills. It can last longer than that to. I stopped taking my pills as well and noticed a big difference in the pain. If you think you are pregnant you should go to the Doctors. Also, if you are constantly worried or thinking about being pregnant, you can actually fool your body into believing that you are when your not. Hope this helps

Oh I know that... My chest has always hurt about a week before I get my period since I can remember. But never like this... I don't know if they have hurt like this for the past month because of me not taking the pills anymore. I have heard that you can make your body think that you are and I haven't been thinking I am for a while... just this past couple weeks I have because I have never had pain like this in my chest before. Plus I quit taking my birth control about three months ago so it has been a while.

Ok, I would either A:go see your doctor and have an exam done, and tell him your concerns or B: go get a blood test done. or C: wait until your period is late, take a hpt and see what happens. It is too early to take any home pregnancy tests now. As far as your chest hurting it could very well still be the pill causing you to have these symptoms. It depends on every womans body, and the different kinds of bc used, on how long it takes to get out of the system, and your body back to normal.

If you are not due for your period until the 30th of this month it is too early to take a hpt. Wait til you are at least one to two days late, then take one with first morning urine. I know it is stressful not knowing, but you need to try to relax a bit. I think that you and your boyfriend don't want children for a year or two... If this is so, and you are not pregnant you could probably go back on birth control. Unless you are on the Depo Provera shot, your body will be mostly back to normal within a month of going off birth control. I have know many women who got pregnant the month after they stopped taking bc. You are still young, and your hormones won't regulate until you are about 28 or older, therefore your body could just be changing. Again, wait until you have missed your period, take a hpt. If it is still negative make an appointment with you doctor, and take another hpt in a week (unless you were able to get an appt before then.) Hope this helps. Don't forget that the more you stress over it the more likely your period will be off if you aren't pregnant. (That only causes more worries that you don't need)!

wait until after the 30 th and see if your period comes and goes. It's not that it's harder to conceive after being on birth control pills, but your body has been faked into beleiving it's been pregnant while you were on the. so it takes a few months anywhere from 3-6 months for you body to return to normal. so the breast tenderness is okay. as for the mild cramping, it could be a sign of ovulation. some women actually feel slight discomfort when the egg breaks out of the ovary. that has a weird and funny name to it but I can't spell it.
If after the 30th has come and gone, do a home pregnancy test. always follow up hpt with a blood test because the hpt can sometimes show a false negative. Good lucK

there is a definite possibility on this. you need to go to a doctor and get another tet from them and if still says that your not pregnant you need to talk to the doctor and explain your symptoms to her. you could have something else wrong with your body. GO TO THE DOCTOR.
