how early can u see ur pregnant on a scan can u see if ur only just over 1 week?

I think that you have to be 8 weeks just to see a sac and 12 for something more substantial

At 5 weeks 3 days (which was 10 days past first day of missed period) my doctor said it would be pointless to do a scan. He is doing one at 7 weeks 3 days to see the heartbeat. By the way, I'm not sure what you meant by one week, as doctors count pregnancy from the first day of your last period. Even though you won't even concieve until 2 weeks later that is the way it goes!
