In most cases, a single abortion won't effect your chances of getting pregnant in the future. Not sure how long, or if, you have been trying to get pregnant, but is can naturally take a year or so without it being a concern. Usually, if someone has been trying for a year to a year and a half, doctors will start testing. If someone is 35 or older, it is often suggested to consider testing after 6 months of trying without success.
