Period 4 days late. Several pregnancy symptoms. Could I be pregnant?
I'm going to try to give as much information and as accurate information as I can considering I haven't really kept track of much, which is stupid. Here goes.

A little over a week after the end of my last period, I had unprotected sex, and my guy came in me. We also had unprotected sex about a week ago. I was suppose to get my period about three days ago and I haven't. Between those times, my nipples are very tender, some days they've hurted really bad, and I've also noticed some slight change in color. I've been having to pee a lot, my lower back hurts, and what really's got me concerned was about a week ago, for five consecutive days at night around the same time every night, I got extremely nauseaus. Also, around the time I was suppose to get my period, and even now, I'm having extremely light period like cramps, but no blood or anything. That's been going on for a few days, along with barely noticeable small pin like cramps/ puleses in my ut erus. I'm also really really tired a lot, but I've been getting adequate sleep and my diet is fairly reasonable. I'm trying not to over analyze because I don't want to overlook what could just be PMS or delayed period due to stress ( which I'm really not stressed) but some of this has me really concerned.

Just wanted to see the chances of me possibly being pregnant? I don't want to take a test just yet, it seems a bit early. Thanks fof all your help :)

I also forgot to add that I'm having a lot of cold and flu symptoms. I'm not sick, but every morning I get up, I've had a runny nose that doesn't let up. I also have an increased amount of clear vaginal discharge. For the last few days I'm having extremely mild period like cramps, but no blood. They usually disappear after a few seconds.

If you have had unprotected sex there is a chance you could be pregnant.

In saying that no one online can tell you if your pregnant or not.

The best advice I can offer you is test in 2/3 weeks if you still have not got your period, whatever the result positive or negative have it confirmed with your doctor.

Of course no one can tell me online, I just wanted to see the possibility of it happening. I'm not comfy with talking to anybody about it yet. I have a close friend that gave that said it'd be OK to test now? I'm guessing that's false?

There is a labour nurse here and a doula nurse also, they keep close tabs on the pregnancy threads, keep an eye on your thread for other posts.

The tests depend on the level of pregnancy hormone present, there are a few products on the markets that claim to detect the hormone as soon as one day after your missed period.

I know the waiting game is hard having someone you can talk too about it will help.

There's no harm in trying the test if you want too, but I would strongly suggest any result is confirmed with your doctor.

Pregnancy is certainly a possibility, but it could be your period is just off a bit and is getting ready to start.

Since your period is already late, test. If you want to give it a bit more time, wait until the weekend and see what happens. When you test, if it is negative, wait another week and see if your period just shows up late. Still no period, try another test or you could see your doctor. (although their urine tests are usually the same as what you could buy yourself)

Be sure to follow the directions exactly, especially in regard to reading the results. Reading the test after the time frame stated on the test (usually about 3-5 minutes) would give you an invalid result.

Obviously if the results are positive, set an appointment with your doctor.

Whether you are trying to become pregnant or not, it would be a good idea to take a multivitamin each day with at least 400 mcg of folic acid. This is important for women who might become pregnant as it can help prevent certain birth defects that occur very early in a pregnancy. If you are eating well, odds are good that you are getting a decent amount as more and more foods and drink are fortified, but the vitamin will give you a bit of insurance just to be sure.

End of day 4... still no period. Not freaking out just yet. But I have noticed something rather interesting. Where my uterus is, right under my belly, its getting rather hard. A lot thicker feeling than usual. Not just before period thick either...
