Mirena iud

Asked Jul 15, 2012, 07:16 PM — 3 Answers
I have been on mirena iud since I was 16 , I am now 20 and still have it. I get it removed in January. Recently I have been having a scare that I may be pregnant. I have gained 10 pounds and have noticed my appetite has became bigger. Every 5 minutes I have to pee & when I go my urine is sometimes very yellow or very cloudy at times.. I have been spotting blood also. I'm just nervous , and scared I may be pregnant but I didn't think it was possible .. I heard so many bad stories about this birth control & debating if i should get it out .

I don'tunderstand your question. You say thatyou still have it, and that you had it out? Which is it? Either way, if you suspect that you ae pregnant, you need to take a pregnancy test.

If you think you are pregnant go to your OBGYN Yes you can get pregnant on Mirena, although very unlikely and dangerous. You need to go have your Obgyn do a pregnancy test to see if you are pregnant, that way they can decide if you should have the device removed or if it is unsafe for you and the baby If you are pregnant.
