Whenever there is blood, no matter how minute, you need to call your physician. It is not uncommon for some women to bleed for the first few months, but as you know every pregnancy is as individual as every woman. No two women are alike and no two pregnancies are alike.

Cramping can be common too, or a signal that something is wrong.

I wish I could give you a more definitive answer, but I am sure you understand that without knowing your entire medical history and giving you a physical examination any advice you get here is just a guess at best.

Please make an appointment with your doc to find out if this is normal for you.

Can I just add that you probably shouldn't be using a tampon in your condition, just a precaution.
