Count the weeks between June 16th and today - I count 4 weeks tomorrow.

I have no idea what you mean by "in medical terms."

First of all sorry it was June 12th.

Also, it seems to me with pregnant friends of mine that when it has been 3 weeks since their conception they've been classed as their doctor/midwife as 8 weeks, or there about. That's what I ment by medical terms.

Until their is an ultrasound, medical personnel can only use your first day of your last period as weeks of conception to my knowledge.

medical professionals "guess" at dates, so if you know for sure, then that is how far along. Most poeple have no idea when it could be, so the doctors look at ultrasounds, ask about last period and guess at a date

You may be referring to gestational age versus fertilizational age. They can vary by weeks.

Gestational age is what we hear mostly and it is counted from the first day of the last period....and often adjusted a bit after a scan. Fertilizational age is from the time of conception....not necessarily the act of sex that resulted in conception as these could be days apart. Many women will have a general idea of when they likely ovulated but usually won't know exactly unless they had medical assistance.
