Irregular cycle

Hi I have a question about my period. I have a kind of irregular time of when my cycle comes and on Sunday I'm suppose to be going out of town to a water resort. I thought about taking a birth control pill to make my period start, but I don't know if it will work. Can you give me any help?

Some birth control pills can be used to hold off your period, I recommend speaking to your doctor about this, as he knows your medical history.
