are you really going to obsess over every period? really?

here is the short answer for this and all other posts in the future about this.

if you have sex, unprotected or even protected, you might get pregnant.

NOBODY can tell you over the internet whether you are or are not.

NOBODY. period.

a light period, a skipped period, a strange period, an odd discharge... none of them mean you are pregnant. you might be. none are proof. no self respecting medical provider would read a post about that and say "yes!... yes you are".

what is proof, the only proof you are going to get, is a preg test. if these were not useful the docs wouldnt use them. period.

if your test is negative you might not be pregnant. you also might be but you might not have a high enough concentration of hormones. some women take longer to get high enough hormone concentrations to give a positive. which means... NOBODY but you and the pee stick are going to know.

if its neg... you wait it out. over time you get your answer.

people who post every month with the "am i pregnant" posts are wasting the resources here. read the sticky notes in this section and youd know we cannot tell you that.

its between you and a test or you and a doctor, and maybe enough time to build up hormones.

period.

understand your own body better before you try to have a child at 16.

Yes, you do still have a chance of being pregnant....but you will have to take a test, or wait and see what happens next month and test then if need be to know for sure. It could also just be an off month this time around.

I'd say restest in a week.

KP if these questions bother you so much, then don't read them. Some women want reassurance or someone to talk to about it. They want to be supported and if they get that support by asking every month, then fine.

kp2171 agrees: hmmm... dont read questions that bother me. right. thanks for the hand spanking. feel free to encourage young teens to get pregnant and wonder month after month if they are, having not educated themselves about their own bodies. brilliant plan!

thanks for the lecture.

there are several mods and experts who will likely support what i said.

a young girl (16 in this case) planning to get pregnant and then posting every time a period is late or off, or everytime she has sex happens all the time here.

im more than happy to hold hands when needed. at some point the poster needs to listen to reality. nobody can tell you online if you are pregnant.

Becca1025 agrees: Aww thanks for rating my answer and then sending me a private message saying the samething over again. I got it the first time. Maybe you should re-read my answer, I told her to RETEST not to get pregnant.

I support you completely and thank you for posting what you did. Before girls become sexually active they should learn about sexuality, pregnancy, and their own bodies.

Pregnancies in a 16 year old can be extremely high risk. Just another preemie for me to deliver and put on a vent, etc....there are too many complications that can occur with teen pregnancy.

guess its my turn on this one... not to mention im getting my hands slapped by other members.

maybe its because my own mother was 16 when she had me. i spent 3 months in intensive care. was the first child in my state to survive that early birth. many others dont go so well, as you know. and then others are kids having kids.

my opinion is a woman who doesnt understand if she could be pregnant probably should understand her own body better before she is in charge of another life.

oh well. all about perspective i guess.

When the other members have been here for 3,000 or more answers, as you and I have, they will understand. Took me a while too.

But to come here month after month expecting us to know if they are or are not pregnant is just plain ole silly.

If I could do a urine test and an exam via my monitor, I'd sit here all day and get rich, but I can't and that's why we have DOCTORS!!!
