It's possible it will happen naturally, but unfortunately the odds are not in your favor. Most women who become pregnant in their midforties have had medical assistance to get there....and you don't want to waste time waiting to see if it will happen without help.

I'd first ask your gyn to make a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist and get some basic testing done....for both you and your boyfriend. This can help you find out whether or not any fertility treatment would be necessary and what sort you might benefit from.

There are a number of ways to treat most issues, but once again, some will be determined by age as facilities will often have an age cap of who they will treat simply because as a woman gets older, the odds of success go down even with fertility treatment.

Good luck....hope you get some good results!
