Either tell your ovaries to release 2 eggs per cycle (identical twins) or thell the fertilized egg to split into 2 zygotes immediately after conception (fraternal twins). In other words you can't.

You've got your names the wrong way around NK, fraternal twins are from 2 eggs being fertilised by 2 sperm forming 2 zygotes.

Identical twins occur when 1 sperm fertilises 1 egg to form 1 zygote, which then splits to form 2 embryos.

You can also get semi-identical twins, when 1 egg is fertilised by 2 sperm which froms 1 zygote which splits into 2 embryos. This is obviously very rare.

You're right that you cannot induce twins, though. And why would you want to? there are added health risks to both you and the children.

Here are some factors that predispose you to having fraternal twins:

Are you any of those?
A normal birth is ultimately much more likely however. And this factors have to be in your lifestyle for a long time before they affect your chances even by a little.

It is all about destiny and fate, i strongly believe that u shudn't stress on havin twins as this will be ur 1st pregnancy so even if it was one or the other wat difference will it make, u'l still be a mother and parents to a beautiful child, just let nature take course and take things the way they are given to u.

you cant make your body produce 2 eggs.......you can talk to your doctor about taking fertility pills, which will hopefully with luck help your ovaries realese 2 eggs, but you would really want to be careful taking fertility pills.....your body just might relese more then 2 eggs......good luck.....but just remember one baby is better then no baby when its your first.

I would not suggest having twins the first time around. I have b/g twins and it's very very hard to deal with. Thankfully I have two older girls that helped prepare the way for the twins. I don't wish twins on first time parents. It is more work and lost sleep than you can even imagine. Stick with one for now. One is going to keep you just as busy.
