Have you been around others who have been sick recently? Could just be a bug you have picked up. Some people do have some bleeding in early pregnancy, a few throughout pregnancy, but usually it is not quite the same as their period would be. Often it will be shorter in duration or lighter....although it can be very similar. It is not an actual period per se, and there are a number of reasons why it occurs. For the vast majority of women, there is no bleeding, which tips them off that they are probably pregnant, or it is more spotting than an actual bleed.
If you feel pregnancy is possible, you could go ahead and try a test.....or just wait until next month and see what happens.
