Am I in labour?

Woke up at 1 am with pains in my upper stomach, I ran to the washroom and I began to push because I thought I had to go number 2 but nothing. Then I began to throw up violently, the pain went to my lower abdomen. The pain in my upper stomach is always there, but the pain in my abdomen comes and goes, my tummy gets hard at some points not always. I can't get back to sleep and I in labour or did I eat something bad.

Could be the start of things....just keep tabs on it. If you start to notice there becomes a pattern to the tightness and pain in your abdomen, keep track of it. If it is labor, you will start to notice they start to become regular, get stronger, and closer together. Early labor can last several hours or several days. Sometimes getting ill or an upset stomach can be the way things start as your body prepares for labor. This can also lead to some contractions. You'll know soon enough if it is labor, something you ate, or just a stomach bug.

Thank you DoulaLC for responding, well I had basically no sleep last night and the pain in my upper stomach is gone but not in my lower abdomen. It feels like I have to use the washroom all the time, when I got up this morning I realized the baby was so much lower then last night. I am hoping this is the start of things, because I don't think I can take much more I have a doctors appointment tomorrow should I call my doctor today?
