Implantation Bleeding?

I know implantation bleeding is actually pretty rare but I thought I see if anyone had any thoughts on this.

-I have been charting my BBT for the last two years (initially to avoid pregnancy but now we are trying to conceive and so it is helping with that)
-My periods have been super regular for the entire time I have been charting
-I always get my period 16 days after ovulation
-I have not had any spotting before this 16 day mark in the last two years.
-My BBT has always dropped on the morning before my period starts
-My last period was July 11th.
-I believe I ovulated on July 24 and my husband and I tried for a baby.
-My period is due this coming Wednesday (8/9/06).
-My BBT was still high this morning
-Today (Monday) I just had a tiny amount of light brown spotting (just a few spots).
-I have not had any cramping.
-I have been really tired for the past few days and I feel like I have wretched PMS (crabby and moody and very emotional).

At this point is it likely I am having implantation bleeding or more likely that I am starting my period early and spotting (neither of which has happened in the last two years)?

Also, if I do prove to be pregnant, is there cause for concern with the spotting? Does it mean I am more likely to have an early miscarriage?

It is possible you are experiencing implantation bleeding. As you know it is not all that common, and those of us who do experience it usually do not notice it.

If this has not happened in the last 2 years I would begin treating myself as if I were pregnant. Good foods, avoid bad haibts, get good rest, etc.

If you are pregnant I would not be concerned about this spotting. Many women even bleed all through pregnancy and deliver healthy full term babies.

And, no, it does not mean you are going to have an early miscarriage. No once can actually predict that unless your gynocologist has told you that you are at high risk for miscarriage due to certain health issues.

Good luck, I certainly hope you get what you want.
