Confused, Am I Pregnant?

I am so confused right now and I am desperately seeking advice! I had a very short period last month (roughly 6 weeks ago). I know my body very well and normally my periods last 5-7 days and are heavy. The period I had last month was short 3-4 days, it seemed like a normal period although it wasn't as heavy. Anyway, the last two weeks I have been very tired, had low back pain (achy in nature), increased appetite and sore nipples. However, no sickness whatsoever or nausia. I finally broke down and tested today and the test had a very, very faint line in the positive window. I'm starting to think this is all in my head, especially since I had a period last month. It's just that I know my body very well and to me it is too early to be having the symptoms above as "PMS". Is it possible to have a period and be pregnant? Is it possible to get a false negative on a test even though I would "technically" be 6 weeks pregnant at this point? Anyone's advice would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If you had a faint line (so long as you received it with in 10 minutes) it is a positive test and you should re-test (try a dollar store test they are not such a waste of money) and then get a blood test.

I am just wondering what your last period has to do with anything…

I am some what confused - you and stating that you are 2 weeks late (a normal sign of pregnancy)
Why do you find it odd that you could be pregnant?

Have you not had sex in the last six weeks?

Are you assuming you got pregnant before your last period?

I was very tired at 6 weeks...I think you are pregnant!

I have 6 children........ my first pregnancies I had my normal period for 3 months into the pregnancy, so when I went for my annual and he told me I was almost 4 months pregnant I thought he was kidding with me. My 2nd pregnancy I spotted a few days in the first 2 months. 5th pregnancy I was about 5 weeks pregnant and had a period, then started yakking and had morning sickness and sore breasts... went to have ultrasound and there he was... 5 week old inside! Hope this helps!
