Brown Spotting - Pregnancy Sign?

Hi there,

I am 27 years of age and a mother of 2 daughters, hubby and i have decided to go again!
We have been tring for a month now and just have a question if any has any advice?

I am not due for my period til next week but i had a little brown spotting a week ago and i keep getting this metallic taste in my mouth, headaches and light headedness.

I know its very early but do you think symptoms would start to show now?

Symptoms of any kind usually do not begin until at least the second or third week of pregnancy. You see, after fertilization it can take as long as 10 days for the ovum to implant into the uterus (not a complete implant... that actually takes 14 weeks), but it takes a minimum of 5 days for the fertilized egg to travel down through the fallopian tubes into the uterus.

If your period is due in a week, it is possible that you are experiencing an early period. Even us women who are extremely regular experience an off month once in a blue moon. If you do not get your period by the end of next week I would advise you to take a pregnancy test using first morning urine. If that is negative, then wait another week and re-test. If that is still negative, then chances are you are not pregnant.
