Am I pregnant? I am due on but have only had a very light brownish bleed for one day
THIS WAS MY PREVIOUS QUESTION SEVERAL WEEKS AGO - 'A week ago I had a shred of browny mucus when I went to go to the toilet and after followed what I originally thought was my period but it only lasted 3days and was quite light, the colour was browny, I didn't have any cramps or pains but since then I have had what has occasionaly felt like a mild stitch and slight lower back ache and I have constantly been needing the toilet some mornings going nearly every half hour, so I went to have a test for a water infection and it came back negative, the nurses were hopeless and said I didn't need a blood test but if I was worried to wait until I was next due on or take a HPT again in a couple of weeks as I've taken 3in the past week and all have been negative. I was also at work today and came across very faint and nauseas. Does anyone know if I could be pregnant with these symptons?? '

SINCE THEN MY SYMPTOMS HAVE INCREASED MY BOOBS HAVE BECOME TENDER AND TINGLEY LITTLE SORE AND VERY HEAV FEELING WITHOUT MY BRA ON (BUT I HAVE HAD 2BREAST REDUCTIONS IN PAST) ALL THE TIMES I WENT TO THE DOCTORS OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS THEY HAVE NOT HELPED REALLY THEY INSIST I AM NOT PREGNANT AS THE TEST THEY SAID WERE VERY ACCURATE, THEY TESTED THYROIDS AND INFECTIONS AND ALL IS NORMAL WITH NO PROBLEMS THERE, SO IVE WAITED AND I WAS DUE ON MY PERIOD LAST THURSDAY AND NOTHING CAME APART FROM A LITTLE SPOTTING AFTER I WIPED WHEN I WENT TO THE TOILET AND THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN EVERY TIME I WENT EITHER THEN ON FRIDAY MORNING I DID HAVE A BLEED BUT IT WAS LIGHT ONLY NEED TO USE A PANTY LINER AND IT WAS VERY DARK BROWNISH, BUT TOWARDS THE END OF FRIDAY NIGHT IT HAD PRACTICALLY STOPPED AND WAS ONLY SPOTTING AGAIN WHEN I WIPED AND THIS MORNING IT IS THE SAME NO BLEEDING BUT SPOTTING BROWN ON THE TISSUE WHEN I WIPE AFTER GOING TO TOILET. I HAVE HAD MILD ACHES WHAT FEEL LIKE GROWING PAINS NOTHING BAD NO SEVERE PAIN WHICH HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR SOME WEEKS NOW AS PER MY PREVIOUS QUESTION I PLACED IN MAY, BUT I AM SO CONFUSED AND THE DOCTORS Haven't SEEMED TO HAVE HELPED ME AT ALL, SO AM LOOKING FOR ANY ADVICE ANYONE HAS ABOUT THIS?

Did they do an actual blood test for pregnancy or just the urine tests? That would be the next step... especially if you are normally quite regular. If it turns out that you aren't pregnant, they may want to do some further testing to try and determine if there is a hormonal reason. Once in awhile, periods just go off and no apparent reason is found... there are ways to try and regulate it once again... such as a short round of birth control pills.

I did have a blood test done for HCG levels and they came back negative that was back at end of may though. They said all my hormones are normal. I have never had any of these symptoms before and have always been regular even when coming off my pill for a break and then going back on again. I feel different in myself if that makes sense,

Have you recently come off the pill... such as in the last few months? That can sometimes cause periods to be off at first.

It's possible it was enough to through off your system for a time. You can try more home pregnancy tests each week until your next period is due and see what happens... or ask about having another blood test done (don't know if they would go for that, but you could ask). Since you also have missed this last period, it may cause them to re-evaluate the situation. Going back on the pill to try and regulate your cycle is another option... there are herbal methods as well... angus castus is one that some women have found success with... but it really depends on the reason for the cycle disruption.
