After intercourse, why the fluid comes out even after lying for 20 minutes?
Me and my husband are trying to have a baby. Every time after intercourse even after lying on bed for 20 minutes and using a pillow to elevate my hips, the fluid comes out when I stand. What could be the reasons and does this show that I cannot get pregnant?

I find I sometimes have this a day after sex. This is just the fluid coming away from you not the actual sperm its self.

    Good luck.

Heh, you aren't meant to suck up all the fluid. That would be scary.

Rest assured that his little swimmers aren't in the fluid anymore.

Because the fluid (semen) is only a means of transport for the sperm.

It is called gravity. This happens to everybody. No matter what you do liquid will come out but not all of it. So do not panic. By elevating your hips and staying their for 20 minutes will help with the travel of sperm but not all of it stays there.

    Good luck in getting pregnant.

Another little tip too. Is if you both end up orgasming the same time while having intercourse there is better travel for the sperm. Of course, you need to do you're best to just relax and enjoy each other and let things happen.

I'm pretty sure the elevation of the hips is an urban legend. We managed for many millions of years without it :)

I think at the end of the day it all depends on how fertile both partners are.

You aren't a sponge, so you don't soak up everything that goes in. Don't worry, sitting for 20 minutes is plenty of time for the sperm to do their duty if they are going to.(and just because the fluid comes out, doesn't mean the sperm does too.) Good luck
