7 wks & bleeding

I am almost 7 wks preg. and have been bleeding for 14 days! It has never been anything other than brown, and some days have been heavier than others, although I have never soaked a pad, (been surviving on pantyliners).
I went to the clinic, had an ultrasound on March 30/2005. Was told everything looked fine & that I am pregnant. No blood tests have been done, however the urine test on March 21 showed positive. I have also suffered a major head & sinus cold all last week, and spent a lot of time sleeping, but I am still spotting/bleeding(always brown) I have also passed a bit of tissue, but maybe about 3-4 strings worth(sorry, I know this is yucky). I still feel tender brests and tired, but worried that something is not right. When I got the call about the ultasound results they said make an appointment in 2-3 wks. So I made an appointment for this coming Friday, April 15. But I still am worried has anyone ever experienced a misscarriage or dead fetus and had only brown blood? I have had some cramping and pain, but I took it as streatching, cause I want to remain optimistic! Any info, share!

good news as of Sunday April 17, the bleeding has stopped! I am so happy.
Tommorrow is the first official prenatal visit. I can't wait, we have decided to share this news of our pregnancy on Mothers Day! Including sending our mothers cards with the announcement and "do not open till May 8th" written on the envlope! We know this is the Mothers day present they will not want to take back!

bad news

Went for the first official prenatal visit, this went okay, till they sent me for the ultrasound, this sadly showed the fetus had not grown past the 6 week stage and no heart beat was detected . Needless to say I was scheduled for a D&C, it was my choice to either wait & see if it happened naturally or to get the pills that speeded up the process, or the D&C. I chose the D&C as they maybe able to tell us what happened, and I was experiencing major headaches and extreme fatagigue.
The bottom line ladies is I went to a walkin clinic last Wed, and told them I thought something was wrong & I asked them to take blood, they told me that they don't do that and that I should just wait to see my family doctor who is also an OB. They gave me a swab stick and made me go do my own vag. swab? This pissed me off looking back, first I am not a Doctor person, and second, I hate pitty and feel shameful that I had the need to feel like going to the walkin clinic in the first place. I never cry wolf! ever.

My advise to you is, take notes everyday on how you feel and if anything is unusual, including your dreams record it. I did keep this diary and it helped when, I got to the real Doctor. The strange thing was on April 6 I had a dream I fell off a swinging elevator in Vancouver, BC, at my husbands employers. There is a swinging art thing there, but it is not an elevator what so ever, this fall caused me to jump out of bed at around 1am, I went to the washroom, and discovered more brown blood than I had sceen the whole 4 weeks I was bleeding, and a bit of tissue, this was around the 6th week, when the fetus must have died.
Bottom line listen to your body, it will tell you what it needs, and be persistant at the doctor, if they are not giving you the treatment you feel you need, seek an alternative, the hospital, or something.
Best wishes to everyone else who may be experiencing bleeding in the first trimester. I hope and wish this will not happen to you, but also just know if it does, it was for the best. WE all want a healthy baby!
