30 weeks

I don't know if this qualifies as a question since i'm just updating everyone about how things are coming along...lol.. Hopefully all this might help someone else at some point in time...

I just got back from my 30 week appt. and everything is much better than it was last week. I did get an u/s today and the girl weights 2lbs 15oz and the boy is at 3lbs 2oz. The girl has finally decided to go into the birthing position thats the good news... The boy on the other hand has flipped over again and is kicking the h*ll out of my cervix. Let me tell you that does not feel good at all. I have felt myself start to stretch out in prep. for birth. When I told the dr. he said that considering i'm carrying around six pounds of baby that it didn't suprise him. He didn't check me though. I'm kinda glad about that. I'm guessing i'm around two cm dilated now. He told me not to worry about going into labor just yet, but that I could in three weeks..lol.. I decided to take child birth classes this time around since i'm having twins... I almost left last night cause they aren't telling me anything that I haven't experienced before. Nothing helpful anyway. The breathing technic is just plain funny to me cause i'm never going to use it... It made me yawn so much that I couldn't do it and I don't have the lung expansion in the first place to do it... All in all I had a wonderful appt this week and will be back in on wed next week to see a different dr. as mine wont be in that week. Besides, I really do need to get to know other dr's in the office cause there will be two present when I deliver... I plan on having an epidural during delivery just in case I do have to have a section. I want that pain med already in place when that is decided. It will all depend on how the babies are sitting when I go into labor. Well I am really tired and i'm going to take a nap. I hope this helps put everyone at ease, cause it sure has put me at ease. I'll check in soon...ttyl

Myth, 130/70 is still considered in the normal range. Don't worry, worry will only bring those number us higher. Do I have to get in my little car and bring my book and show you? You know I will!!! LOL, nah, I'll just give you a call, HAHA.

I am glad the shower went well. Jeeze if knew there was gonna be food like that I would have come after all. Steven was not able to come visit, so it was just me & Johnny on Saturday.

Well, you rest and stay cool, it is already 98 here and we have not hit the hottest part of the day .

Well, you take care, and don't hesitate to call if ya get bored.

Hi Myth. Jaime and I send our love and will keep our fingers crossed.

We went to the 'clinic' yesterday on a tour and Jaime really wants to have 'peanut' in a nice tub if all goes well. You girls have it a lot better these days than when I delivered 29 years ago - that was a cold surgical atmosphere. Now it's as if you're right at home - sometimes better.

Keep yourself and those twins hydrated, ya hear?

Oh believe me and my bladder, we're hydrated. I drink at least a gallon if not more of water a day. I am not going out in that heat if someone paid me, and it would have to be alot!!! I almost wonder if i'm drinking too much water...lol. I highly doubt that. Thank you all for your well wishes.

Yes chery we really do have it good when it comes to all that... and just think what our mothers had to complain about to get us to this point...lol.. it's thanks to you and the generations before us that we have what we have today so pat yourself on the back. I just wonder what my children will have when there time comes.... probably antigravity chambers or transporters or something...lol.

Being the 'treky' that I am, and believing in 'life after this one', I certainly hope that I get a chance to experience this at some point. There is one thing that can't be replaced though, and that's being able to carry our wonders, feel them grow, move, and to have them all to ourselves before we have to give them up and share them with the rest of the world.

I would even like the idea of some knowledge of life to be passed on in the genes so that they don't have to go through as much 'growing pain' as we've had. But, that's another story worth thinking about in another thread.

Give the babies a nice rub for me.

Well I had my weekly appointment today, including an u/s. They babies weigh 3 lbs. 10 oz and 3 lbs. 8oz. They are now both head down and are not expected to flip again. I can try for a vag delivery...yeah!!! I am measuring 39 weeks.. full term... So dr said that up till 34 weeks they will try and stop labor at 34weeks they will stop it long enough to do the steroid for their lungs and then let me proceed with delivery. At most I think I have a month left to go. I think they're going to come sooner. Any guesses as to when and how much they will weigh? I was thinking about starting a thread for any guesses people might have... you know just for fun. I just don't know if anyone would participate though. Let me know what you think.

I say they better come on Aug 7 and weigh 4'12 and 5'11. I am sure you don't want to wait until Sept 13 which is my other choice!!

Either way you are good to go now girl!!!!!

HI Myth, you have done so well in this pregnancy,I would have been losing my mind if I found out there were two babys inside me instead of one. then to find out you only have a month to go or less you are one brave cookie : ) I know the delivery will go good to so don't worry about anything let your body do it's job, I should know my last child couldn't wait to come anymore oneday I was at 2cms then the doctor sent me home at 3am I started again and at 7:30am I was at ten cms at home when I got to the hospital she came out in my pants leg at 7:50am now she almost 3years old and now I'm waiting to see how this little girl will com into the world well you need your rest I'll talk to you soon. net

Well I don't think they will arrive with my pants still on me...lol... thats kinda funny. I bet thats how it would have happened with my oldest if I hadn't been in the hospital already. I'm hating life right now. The b/h contractions are getting alot more frequent and are still very irregular. I would like to last two more weeks. I know I can do that, but any longer and i'm not sure. Right now i'm carrying around almost eight pounds of baby, even though there's two. My body is reacting like i'm supposed to be at the hospital in labor but that hasn't set in yet...crosses finger for two more weeks at least.... I can feel them both in my pelvis. I know i'm dilating more I can feel it. Could anyone else feel themselves dilate with their children? I think that when one of them actually engages i'll start to worry more, so far so good on that front, at least not a permanent engagement. He always finds a way to squirm out... lol...

Anyway, I would love to be able to hold out till sept J_9 but somehow i'm doubting that will happen. I'm guessing that Drews bday on the 12th of aug will be when they decide to make their appearance...lol... happy boat daddy... The full moon falls on the ninth and they would want to stop labor for a few days for the steroids to work on the babies lungs and well that would be the 12th....lol... I know i'm basing this all on a full moon.... but have you ever seen a hospital on a full moon? I think it's as good a guess as any....lol.... Well need to go baby drew he's sick at home today. Poor thing... I think he's got a flu bug... lol... hope I don't get it...Well i'll check back in later.

4lbs 02oz and 4 pounds is what i am guessing. on the 11th going in at 11pm. HAHHAHAA. setting up a late night for ya. but I think it will be a quick labor, and all will go well, and they will show up by the first hour of the 12th. hehe, purely guessing outta the blue haha.
