Go to a doctor! Describe your symptoms and hopefully you'll get more than a pee test. Maybe it's entirely unrelated to pregnancy, but it still could be a problem you don't want to mess around with by asking us idiots on the Internet.

Good luck!

One positive is usually enough, false positives are very rare. The urine tests at the doctor are not much better than what you buy in the store. Go back to your doctor and request a blood test, that is the most accurate way of testing for pregnancy.

actually, the urine tests they use at the doctors offices, are the same ones you buy at the store, no difference. however, different brands of tests will give you a positive at different levels. Some tests are more sensitive then others. perhaps the test you took detects hcg(pregnancy hormone) at a lower level, then the ones at the ones they got at the office. also, if you took your hpt with first morning urine, and you didn't at the doctors office, perhaps that is also why it didn't register. In your situation I would suggest getting a qualatative blood test at your local hospital. they dont cost much more then hpts, and are more accurate. However, they only give a negative or positive reading, so if you hcg levels arent high enough to register on the blood test either, you may still get a negative. at which point, go to your doctor. Its not uncommon to be late, or even completely miss a cycle now and then. ( I was 2 1/2 months late once, for no reason. started right back up and was on schedual from then on. so you never know.) Since you are 8 weeks late, I wouldnt wait more then two more weeks before consulting your doctor. Start taking prenatal vitamins if you arent already, just in case. Good luck
