| Here's the thing about qualitative blood tests. While they are more accurate then hpts, they are not without error. This test only gives a negative or positive reading, like hpts.If your levels are not high enough at the time of the test, then it doesnt register as positive, even tho you may be pregnant. It would probably be a good idea to either get another done after a week or two if your period is still not here, OR go to your doctor and request a quantative blood test. This is the most accurate of the tests, as it gives the actual NUMBER of hcg in your system. The test is ususally done again after a week or so, to check if the levels are doubling, as they should in a normal pregnancy. Good luck. |
