Replacing Hot Tub Cabinet

My hot tub is about 13 years old and the cabinet has extensive dry rot. How hard is it to build a new cabinet and is it worth rebuilding it myself? Does anyone out there have any plans or pointers? I've looked on the internet but didn't find any plans or information on how to do this. Thanks!

Each tub maker has their own way of building the wooden cabinet. You would need to remove at least one side of the base to see how they put it together. Using red wood or cedar, duplicate the wooden pieces you deconstructed and rebuild only one or two sides at a time. Remember to drain the water and disconnect the power to the tub.

I've been rebuilding spa cabinets for ten years working for myself and friends who own spa stores in Tulsa. I can tell you how to do it.
