How soon after startup can I use the heater in a brand new pool?

I've just had a new pool built (gunite) in my backyard. The pool was filled seven days ago, and I've had a pool tech out every day for start-up.

I've gotten conflicting advice about how soon I can use the heater. Some say 30 days, some say 7 days. What's the best practice? Thanks.
