| | | Is it time for a new Revolution? OK Americans,
A couple hundred years ago, a group of people who were fed up with a 3% tax by their government decided enough was enough and The United States of America was born.
Fast forward to today.
If we fought over 3% then, why are we standing by now, with a tax rate of about 30%?
Add to that, I've worked hard my entire life, I've obeyed most laws, and I have paid MORE than my fair share of taxes.
Why then, does this government feel it has the right to take HALF OF EVERYTHING I HAVE, away from my family when I die?
How is it that this could happen? How is it that everyone just says, OK, I guess thats alright, go ahead and take HALF of my lives work, heck, the government needs it more that my family does, right?
What can we do, as average everyday working Americans, to correct this unjust, and I feel, illegal stealing by our own Government? Does anyone have any suggestions?
This has bothered me for a very long time, I don't know why, today of all days, it seems to be smacking me up the side my head so hard?
I'll be listening. | | | | | | |

| The Govt's main role is withdrawing money from the economy and re-inserting it in places where it'll provide jobs and keep inflation low.
a free market without govt intervention would never be possible, no market would exist if the govt hadn't printed a currency and built the roads. |

PS> Oh yeah, about the revolution???? Where do I sign up? |
The problem with term limitation is that the people who would have to enact it are not gonna limit their own terms. It ain't gonna happen. RATS!!! |

| As the Marginal Revenue from each unit of production decreases the Marginal Costs increase and businesses wont operate in subnormal profit in the long run as AVR (average variable costs) aren't covered.
And the U.S. Department of Education leaves no child behind. They just keep cranking out those educated idiots. |

| I've tried, but I just can't believe that I, or my country, is better off if the government takes more of what I earn away from me. Carry that to its logical conclusion, and you would have to say that we are all better off if the government takes ALL I earn and gives me what it thinks I need. And that would be - - - -.
Actually, the federal government was given 3 mandates. Issuing money, providing for military, and mail. It turned the issuing of money over to the Federal Reserve where we pay interest on every dollar issued. Whether the military is being managed properly or not depends on who you ask, and parts of the Postal service have been privatized to make it work. Govt. has messed up Social Security, and public education for sure. It has destroyed States rights, contrary to the Constitution. So tell me again why I should want them to manage more of MY money. |

Yes. And if no child is left behind, then no child can excel either. The idea of total equality in this country is of fairly recent origin, and is unattainable unless everyone is a slave. We are only gauranteed equal protection under the law and equal OPPORTUNIY. What we do with that is up to us. |

| I agree with Galveston.
Just look at the cities where they raise taxes to cover their waste like Detroit and Pittsburgh.
Nobody wants to work there. Places like South Dakota and Nevada are prospering because they do not tax the people to death.
With Hillary-care she will have everybody paying at least $100. a month on mandatory government monopolized health care that who knows what the quality would be and as it is now if you want health care you can get it cheap enough in comparison to the alternative with the Hillari care. |

Our government reminds me of children that inherit a business, but do not appreciate the value of prosperity and hard work. Eventually the profits slow down and they end up borrowing from the bank to keep the doors open. Those children, both Republican and Democrat, are our elected officials that have poorly mismanaged the business side of government for decades now.
