how do I change political party affiliation in new york?

I dont know how it works there but I dont worry about it in Ontario, I just vote for the party that promises to give me better benefits. That changes my party affiliation. Does it work differently there ?

To change parties in NY you need to fill out a new registration form.

Request an application by phone by calling 1-800-FOR-VOTE and mail it (Step 6) to your county Board of Elections.

print out this on line form and mail it to your local county board of elections
