why the loss of only hot water presssure?

I have city water with a gas water heater and a few days ago my hot water began to trickle out of the faucets, this has occurred through out the entire house. I cnnot find a filter anywhere in the lines and they all seam to be copper tubing. Could it be sediment in the tank itself?
