What would cause water from a kitchen faucet to be foamy and smelly when the faucet
When water first comes out of the kitchen sink faucet it is foamy and has an order. Both hot and cold. Then it clears up. Problem does not exist at any other faucet in house. New faucet in December 2009.

We are having the same problem. I would like to know if you find out anything on this. The local health department is saying that they can't just test our water to see what is in it. That they have to know what specifically they are testing for. In other words they can look for something specific in the water if you suspect it but they can't analyze the water to see what is there. Is this only a problem with a particular brand or are others affected as well?

    Hi Jkeith and cardinal,
Has anyone removed the aerator from the faucet and ran the water? No? Then do it and get back with the results, Does the water still foam and smell bad?
Back to both of you, Tom

There is no airator, it is a fixed design. One piece all integrated.
