Sorry, not the asphalt tile, I meant the cheap ceramic (I thing it's ceramic; you put down cement/mortar and set them on it, and then grout between the cracks) tile. I forgot about the peel & stick ones.
If what you are saying is ok, then I'm set.
But I always seen those Flanges (And may I'm using the wrong word) sit on top of whatever you have as the finished floor.
I did a search on line, and I think the proper term is “Flange Hub”. The thing that screws on to the floor that the 3” ABS glues into. (Picture of what it looks like here:

But if I leave it as it is, I got a ¾ inch gap between the bottom of the toilet and the flange. I’ll have to measure the thickness of the wax ring I got.
