When I try to fill tub, water comes out of shower head. I thought the diverter was faulty so I took the spout and diverter off. Now, with only the 1/2" pipe coming out of wall I filled the tub again and water still comes out of shower head. Any advise would be helpful.

This tells me the spout's probably OK. Two things could cause this problem. 1) There's a partial blockage in the spout feed causing back pressure, **or** 2) Excessive water pressure will force water up through the shower head.
My bet's on door number two. What's the house PSI? Regards, Tom

I am not sure about the PSI, but I do know that the plumbing has been re-done using that aqua pex pipe. It was redone in the last few months and the water dept put in a new valve and meter the other day.
