The little triangle is a leak detector not a flow indicator. If you shut down everything in your house and you see the little triangle moving you know there's a leak some where in the system. Regards, Tom
I have galvanized through the Slab and the Cold leaked when I bought the house, Re ran it years back, now the Hot is doing it and is under the slab, No leaks, but can hear in pipes at shower/sink area, no water on the floor.
Will likely rerun the Hot in 3/4" CPVC.
I was curious how much I was losing and how fast, til I correct on the weekend, I may turn off hot water so their is no leak, have Mary at the Meter, and I will fill a gallon jug and let her count the amount otf times the tip goes by, Just curious, Thanks, Take Care
Sometimes you can get this info on a manufacturer's site, but it's intended as a leak detector. If I remember right, the smallest you can esolve on the dial is 10 gallons, so I think one rev of the leak detector may be 10 gallons. Not sure.
Kiss, Pop a memory pill. The large pointer counts out the gallons and tenths of a gallon(see image) one complete revolution equals 10 gallons. Strat, You'll do better monitoring the big pointer. Good luck, Tom
