Venting Issue Or a Clog?

I have a plumbing issue that is confusing me. I live in town a use the town serwer. I have one bathroom that will not flush and the shower backs up. It is at the end of the line of our house before hitting the town serwer system. When you run the sink in the bathroom, after about one minute or so the shower start to back up and the toilet has a lot of air coming out through it, as the water makes al sorts of noises. I tried snaking the line, and that didn't help, we tried putting chemicals down the line and that didn't help, so I thought perhaps it was the vent causing the issue. I can not snake the vent as the vent seems to have bars in it to stop anything from falling indie of it. So I oured hot water down it to see if it was blocked all the water ran out an into my shower. I am confused. Any ideas what could be causing this problem?

Thank you in advance.

- Curtis

Hi Curtis,

You have a blockage problem in the drain line but you'll have to snake it from the lavatory roof vent. You must remove the covering from the vent. put out enough cable to get to the base and 20 feet more. Good luck, Tom
