My toilet won't flush and the tank is empty.
My toilet worked perfectly fine this morning. Later by noon I used it and tried to flush but nothing happened. The toilet bowl is full and has water. The tank has no water. Everything in the tank looks connected and fine but it still will not flush. What do I do to fix it for now so that it flushes the bowl empty and then what do I do to repair it permanently?

    Hi, glamsie!

Do you know why the tank has no water in it? Is water coming to other faucets in your home? There needs to be water in the tank in order for the toilet to be able to flush.

    Thanks!

Hi Clough, thank you for responding. My husband just got home and fixed it. It was the chain that was caught.

    Thanks!
