Serious noise and vibration coming from pipes following toilet flush. I know it's air in the pipes, how do I get air out and stop the noise?

When I flush the toilet, I hear bubbling in the tub drain. No water comes up the tub drain, but I hear bubbling. WHAT IS THIS?? Could this predict a future backup or something? ;)

After I flush the toilet, there's a howling noise. Sound almost like a fog horn. Sounds like it's coming from the basement. What's wrong?

We just have noticed that after we flush the toilet in the bathroom located downstairs, after it refills the tank, there is a loud thump noise that ends the water cycle. When we flush the toilet, it makes a loud humming sound toward the end of the flush cycle, as the water fills up. Once the water has filled, the humming stops. What could be causing this, and how do I go about repairing it? Thanks in advance! :confused:
