Please help me! I started with installing a new PVC sewer pipe under the concrete basement floor and moved my toilet to another location in the basement because I was making a finished bathroom in the basement . After the floor people and the plumber were done replacing the concrete that was removed to install the PVC pipe and PVC toilet flange the floor had to be leveled before I could place ceramic tile down. Well needles to say after the leveler was finished and the ceramic tiles 12" X 12" were installed the Plastic PVC Toilet flange is know about 1/4" below the ceramic tile surface in the back of the flange and 5/8" below the ceramic tile in the front of the flange. The PVC Toilet flange is embedded into mortar or cement and is rigid in place. As you can see not only is the flange below the ceramic tile it is also not even level with the floor. Can you please help me as quick as possible.

You can buy over sized wax rings designed to take up more space than normal. You can also buy a PVC spacer that sits on the flange and fills the void.

Thank you for answering quickly. Just one last question, If I put a PVC spacer on the flange do I need to put anything between the flange and the PVC spacer?

Hey George,

Use a set of flange extenders,(see image) to bring the flange up to grade. There will be instructions with the kit. Good luck, Tom
