I have a broken flange. It has been glued into the drain pipe. The toilet, sink and tub all flow into the same drain pipe. There is no way of getting under the floor other than remove it. Which we will do since the toilet leaked. But the pipes have a special configuration. Is there some way of loosening the flange from the pipe that has been glued into? If not we the 3" ID PVC pipe that we are left with, is there an after market product that would allow us to cut the top of the flange and install a fitting that would fit into the remaining piece of pipe that measures 2.5" inside diam? Or can we drill out the 3" pipe and go from there. Looking for some creative solution so I don't have to tear down the walls to refit the whole bath.

While you can not remove a PVC flange short of cutting it out you can repair your broken one without too much hassle. Click on, http://www.quickfixplumbingproducts.com/
And check out RF-3200 and SAB-1000 next to it. Both are repair kits for broken flanges and should repair yours. Now that you know what to look for you can try to pick them up locally. Good luck. Tom
