Tiling basement... how to change toilet flange?
I'm trying to tile my basement bathroom. It has small tiles on there right now, poorly done I might add, and my plan is to tile over them. As a result, it'll be an additional 1/4 inch or so built up. Now the flange won't be at the right height. What can I do to elevate the flange for the new toilet to fit? Please tell me there's other options besides digging up the concrete. Thanks!

Thanks! Looks like what I need.

Do I tile up to the outer old flange edge first, cutting tile to keep it off the old flange, THEN put the extender on afterwards? I'm trying to figure out if tiling go under this new flange or not. Thanks again.

Under/over! It doesn't make much difference. Just bring the flange up to grade. Good luck, Tom
