We didn't actually move the drain. We used a couple of elbows on the overflow line and rotated the tub drain line about 30deg. in order to connect to the existing drain. In other words if you're looking straight on to the existing drain, the overflow and tub drain have ended up jogged about 2-3" to the left.
We actually just got done testing the drain and making some adjustments. We've got the tub/shower in place and hoping not to have to move it again!
