Tankless water heater stop heating

Asked Mar 5, 2010, 02:15 PM — 3 Answers
Hi everyone here's my problem. I have a Titan SCR2-100 tankless water heater that just stop giving hot water two days ago. Here are some of the things that I've tried. (1) Turn off the power supply and drain the heater (2) check the cold water inlet on the heater to be certain that its wasn't blocked (3) reconnected heater, refilled and turn power back on (4) press reset button on heater and open hot water faucet. At first when I turn on the faucet there was some hot water but then went cold a few seconds later. Now I can't even guess what the problem might be but on the front of the heater panel next to the temperature dial ,there are three lights (1 green that says stand-by) and (2 red that says SCR1 and SCR2) When the hot water is turn on I notice SCR1 light flickers continually and SCR2 light remains constant, for what its worth I thought I'd mention that. Any one who has had this problem solved please send some help my way, its freezing over here, thanks guys.

There should be an 1-800 # on the tank that you can call to get help on trouble shooting that particular water heater, they can give you step by step instructions on how to pinpoint the problem. Goodluck----zeke----

Tankless heater for Radiant floor heating [ 1 Answers ]

I read somewhere that you can't use a tankless water heater for hydronic floor heating. Yet the tankless heater I purchased (Nortis or something like that), specifically states that as one of the applications. Is there anything I need to be concerned about?
