Suddenly - no hot water out of shower

All of a sudden the upstairs shower stopped getting hot water (or, stopped showering hot water). Even if you run the water for a while with the shower thingy pointed to "Hot" no hot h2o cometh. Sink next to shower gets hot fine. Any suggestions? Can I fix this myself? Ta!

...simple clog in one of the right angle or sharp turn fittings leading up to the shower that isn't effecting the sink or the cold water to the shower. Could also be the faucet itself although less likely as you say it is a single knob system. Look around for an access panel or the means to shut off the hot and cold to the shower and then you can pull the knob off and start there. What happens when the sink hot and the shower hot are on at the same time? How close are they to one another? Are they on the same pipe from downstairs?
