    Stuck trim bathtub faucet
I'm trying to fix a leaky hot water handle on my bathtub. I can get the handle off, but I cannot get the trim off. It is supposed to just unscrew... but I also cannot get a good grip on it as it has sort of slanted 'edges' that go down to where it connects to the stem assembly. I tried spraying some silicone in there. Nothing works. I also do not know what brand it is... nothing tells. There is no set screw on it either. Help??

Can you post a picture of your faucet? Thanks.

Is this a single handle or a two handle faucet? Mounted on the wall or right on the tub? You should not have to remove the escutcheon to repair the washer or cartridge. That picture sure would help.
