silcone will not dry

I have put silcone around shower drain and 3 days later it is still tacky the pan and drain were brand new and clean the silcone was already opened but was only about a year old what can I do? Rob Youngblood

Your best option would be to remove the silicone and re-caulk with a new tube. If the silicone is tacky, it shouldn't be difficult to remove. Good Luck.

I would also recommend that you pitch that old tube.
