I have a stem shower and can't get the hot water to shut off
I can't get my hot water to shut off in the bath. I believe it's a compression system with a stem.

We need the brand name of the valve and its age but gereraly speaking you should shut the water off and open up the valve. Pull the cartridge and check the inlet ports for any trash. Now turn the water back on to flush out the supplies and valve body. Reassemble and test. Good luck, Tom
