    Bladder tanks
How do you know if your bladder tank is bad. My pump cycles a lot and I loose pressure quickly until my pump kicks back on.

There should be a valve on the tank, one like on your car tires, use the same gauge and check it, probably should read somewhere around thirty pounds I would guess.

    2 things.

    1. Press the air valve on top and see if water comes out. If it does, then your bladder is ruptured.

    2. Using a hammer, gently tap the side of the tank, beginning at the bottom. You can usually tell where the water line is by hearing a change in the tone. If the water line is near the top... bad news.
