Kenmore coldspot makes dripping noise occasionally
We have a Kenmore Coldspot side by side# 106.53659300 (Type 25SSA) that occasionally makes a loud dripping noise as if it is streaming water towards the bottom of the unit into a bucket. It will also (although not as often) make a sizzling sound as if it is dripping water on a heated coil or something. It is situated on a wooden floor so we worry about water damage, but every time I roll it out, there is no evidence whatsoever of water damage or wetness on the floor. Is this a normal process/noise or are we missing something?

Thanks to anyone that has input. We think we're going crazy...

You are hearing the noise! No you are not crazy! And both the dripping and the sizzling are normal. These noises are caused by the refrigerator going into defrost. When it defrosts the heater comes on and the frost melts and drips on the heater causing it to sizzle.
