Hi Cub,
No problem. The drain in a tile shower is a flange type shower drain, (see image) The drain and strainer screws into the flange. You will probably have to take out the tile and mortar from around the drain to unscrew it. The only exception to this is if the shower were installed over cement, in which case you have a caulk or glue on strainer. Good luck, Tom
