Speedball: I did as you suggested, took out the valves and flushed the shower mixer/diverter. Pressure was very good and some of the lime and calcium came out. I cleaned up the valves with vinegar and put them back in place. Turned on the water and then turned on the valves and just a trickle of water came out same as before but now with the valves totally off, a trickle come out. I believe I need to replace the valves. Correct? Are most of these valves universal and interchangeable?

    Thanks

    Goodmorning Jay,
I moved your question over from PM to here. Makes it much easier for me and I have a record if I wish to check past posts.
From the information you have given I'm going to assume that your shower is like the one I put up, (see image). You have flushed out the supplies and cleaned out the valve body but still have a problem in the cartridges.
Pull the stem unit assembly #1740 and remove the seat and spring #4993.
Check for any blockage after you have removed the seat and spring. If you still have a problem take the old stem unit assembles in to a Delta Dealer and replace them. Good Luck Tom
