    Shower arm snapped off blocked threading
    Need to replace shower arm, old arm broke off with threading stuck in pipe. I can't get a grip on remnant to remove. I tried pliers and mock tool to remove.

    Any suggestions?

    What we have here is a drop eared ell, (see image) inside the wall with threads from a chrome over brass shower arm broke off inside.
    Take a sharp awl or screwdriver and drive it under the threads,(see image).
    You can then start to pry the threads up, From there simply peel them out. You may have to take a hacksaw blade and make a cut being careful not to cut intro the threads in the ell.
