    Shaking hot water heater pipes.
I live in GA and we just had a freeze. Some time at night I heard a loud bang, went to investigate and found that one of the pipes from my hot water heater had begun to shake pretty violently. I have an electric water heater. Any explanations or ways to fix this? Could any of this be linked to the freeze?

Which pipe shook? The cold water supply or the hot water outlet? Don you have hot water now? Do you think the pipe froze and the noise and vibration you hear id the pipe thawing out? Back to you, Tom
