sewer system project thingy (high school student needs some info!)

OK, im a highschool student and im am confused on where the sewer systems go. i need too find out if i flush a fish down a toilet in the city (so a city sewer system i think) where would it go? and if i flushed a fish down the toilet out in the country ( a septic tank i think) where would that go?? help me out please!!!

City: Out under your yard and into a city line probably under your street...on to bigger lines and eventually to a sewage treatment plant...yuck being burned or turned into fertilizer and water being dumped into a river.

Country: Out of the house and into a tank on the property...to be sucked out by the septic tank guy.
